It looks as though both (1) default Calendar is uninstallable; and (2) its notifications cannot be turned off.
So I install a calendar of my choice (aCalendar) and the default App piggy backs and populates itself and issues its own notifications.
Is there a way to turn off this behaviour or any suggested hacks/workarounds?
Thank you.

Sorry, I’ve just thought of a hack - create an empty Calendar, and link the default to that instead of the full one.

Hi. It’s possible to uninstall stock applications (at least it was when I did), with a PC, USB cable and ADB tools after turn on the developer settings. I had an application (don’t remember the name) that can do itself the process but, because I don’t root my phone, tell me the ADB command.
