I’m really looking forward to this!!! Once the OS and recovery is stable, I will pack up my PH1 with everything /e/!

It’s a pity that since my PH1 is my only trustworthy phone, I cannot risk breaking it by flashing the alpha build… My other phone is a Huawei shit, I can’t wait to throw it away!!

By the way, @Manoj, does current builds need some Chinese translations? Maybe I can help with that.

I’m new to /e/ and would like to install it on my new Fairphone 3+ device. As I understand /e/ OS will only be available after the Q release for this device. Therefore i would like help with the testing if this would help your efforts. Just PM me.

@Rik the YTX703L is being added to the official list most probably on monday. Things got a bit delayed this week. I just updated the documentation for this and 7 other devices. The updates with the builds should reflect on the servers most probably on this coming Monday. The a3xelte is there in our plans and will get the ‘official’ tag soon.

Last night I did a build for my Xioami my A1 (tissot), with the latest /e/ sources with Android Q. In previous occasions (a few days ago) it didn’t boot the smartphone after flashing correctly. But now it has worked fine.
Everything seems to work (at least what I’m trying), except the contacts application (com.android.contacts v1.7.31) that gives Forced Closure when trying to start it.
I’ve also noticed that when the screen is locked, when unlocked, the wallpaper image comes out smaller and tighter to the lower left corner (the rest of the screen is black) and immediately resizes to cover the whole screen.
To be an alpha version, it doesn’t work bad

Thanks for the input @harvey186 …as I mentioned to you previously the Google call removal should have happened earlier …got delayed as some developers moved out and new ones joined the team.

Which microG Services Core version is included in your new Q-GSI build: current stable release 0.2.12.203315 or older releases as 0.2.11.202414 or still 0.2.10.19420?

The third build of LineageOS-17.1-for-microG for S9 (starlte) and S9+ (star2lte) from 25.09.2020 is equipped with microG Services Core version 0.2.12.203315. Among others, the (UK) NHS Covid-19 app version 3.6 (68).68 from 23.09.2020 works with it.

You are really incorrigible - in the sense of ‘unique’.

It would be easy for you to integrate the current stable build 0.2.12.203315. But no, you praise yourself for your good job - with three dauem upwards - and you ride with a new Q-GSI on old microG paths along with the ‘spying api’ that follows you. The users will decide about the acceptance of your Q-GSI variant.

Nevertheless I thank you for building Q-GSI. Maybe the eTeam can see this as a steep template, but probably not …

sure, but as I have written, I have build a pure eOS-Q-GSI without any source changes. That’s including the MicroG sources.

And I’m sorry, as soon as eOS will include the new microG with the spying api, I will build only my LeOS with ‘old’ MicroG sources, because as you know, I’m totally against it.

And once more sorry, as far as I know, e.foundation isn’t planning any official GSI

Unofficial builds can be made by anyone who feels like it. The alpha builds are made by the e-dev’s for testing in a early stage. The alpha builds do have OTA updates ad can be released with eRecovery.
