/e/ - wallpaper (made by me)

Somehow I lost this thread and never thanked Lnklnx for that beautiful wallpaper created with the blue background in post 31.

Thanks Lnklnx

Here is a screenshot of how Lnklnx appears on my phone. I would like to request the the e symbol and text (my data is my data) is centered a bit more if possible.

for me it is centered :woman_shrugging::woman_shrugging:

You may be able to do this yourself. Can you use an image editor to get the downloaded image to the same size in pixels as the resolution of your screen (or in this case perhaps concentrate on the x axis).

The forum publish the image as 899x2048.

This is my attempt at creating a background for my phone lock screen, dedicated to my dog Gypsy who we lost just before last Christmas. It doesn’t work very well as wallpaper because you can’t read the text. I am pleased that I decided to try this because, in the process, I learnt how to make images transparent in GIMP - very useful!

Can anyone recommend an editor. I can use either Linux Ubuntu or Windows. Thanks All

I just used Gimp to resize the photo that I was using to the correct size (899x2048) - in Gimp this is referred to as ‘scale image’. If you want to create wallpaper from scratch, you can do that it Gimp too. Gimp is available in most Linux distros. Another application you could use is Krita which may be better if you want to create the art for your wallpaper from scratch. I don’t use that as not very artistic.

On a windows system I’d go for paint.net, it has everything one might need, it is free and relatively easy to use (and not over-complex compared to photoshop or else)

On Linux I highly recommend Krita.

Gypsy is gorgeous. You must miss her immensely. May i ask what type of dog she was? She looks remarkably like one of my dogs, albeit in her younger days.

Sorry, i know this is off topic!

Thanks for your comment. We do miss Gypsy very much. She had the loveliest nature - extremely playful when younger but, very gentle. I never saw her be aggressive with people or other dogs, once in her long life. The photo is of Gypsy when she was younger. We lost her just last year, just short of her 16th Birthday! In terms of breed, she was a mix of German Shepherd and Labrador, primarily. But, we did have all our dogs DNA tested and the results determined that she was also part Greek Harehound, quite a rare breed.

P.S. I forgot to mention. That photo of Gypsy was taken when we were on holiday in Wales but, I can’t remember exactly where as it was a few years ago.

She is utterly gorgeous. Lovely photo too
