Only one issue:
Default camera app can’t show previews when RAW photos are activated. Works as expected when the setting is deactivated.

So far it works nicely. The phone continues to catch signal of Japanese mobile carriers (KDDI and docomo).

Note the update to 2.2 was not detected until the phone was upgraded to 2.1 first, though I am not sure if this was expected or not.

No, but after two days everything was working well. I don’t know why.

Same Tablet, same problems

BlissLauncher wasn’t updated with /e/OS 2.2, it still is the 3.0.1-beta version.

/e/OS 2.2-t installed on :

  • Sony Xperia Z2 Compact (xz2c) : good
  • Fairphone 4 : good
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (gta4xlwifi) : BlissLauncher issues
    • Misalignement of icons and widgets
    • Conflicts with other launchers when they’re set as default.

I don’t get Calendar Notifications anymore. That seems to be a problem with Etar (from which the calendar app is forked). I checked app settings and notification settings. I used online and offline calendars with automatic and manual reminders set. No notifications ever appear.

Everything works properly with Google Calendar or aCalendar.

WhatsApp not detecting my microG account for backups
Camera app crashes when i take a photo while recordi ng a vidéo
When I pause a video recording the pause button is mixed with camera toggle button

FP5; update 2.1 → 2.2 one week ago.
All seemed smooth.

Just now realised that file transfer via USB cable doesn’t work any more.
The swipe-down dialogue (radio buttons to select ‘file transfer’) doesn’t show up any more
Searching for Settings - ‘USB’ there the options are greyed out
In Settings -‘Trust’: USB connections still set to ‘always allow’

Tested:

  • Battery is loading, USB socket & cable seem to work, same with different cables
  • reboots didn’t change anything

Any ideas?

Change the usb port or cable. If option is not there, then one thing is not working es expected.

I have laptop where only one port works from 3

Did you search with a good data cable connected? On my e-t-xxx the layout has changed from earlier Android versions, but I took these screenshots within seconds of each other, second one after connection of a data cable.

I further checked that the cable supplied with the phone does not have this effect.

Yes, tested with two different cables both of which have worked flawlessly until then.
But thanks for pointing this out again.
Just checked with a 3rd cable - no effect

One more thing to try @gefri, please use the Settings Search facility for Default USB configuration It is in System > Developer options. Again it can likely only be changed with cable attached.

  • If no Developer options, Settings > About phone > Scroll to foot, Build number. Now tap rapidly on Build number, maybe 7 times or so, till you see enabled Developer options.

Hello,
On my fairphone 4 since the 2.2t update, microg systematically crashes on the connection page. internet browsers, opera, chrome, firefox
etc crashes, the front app camera crashes. I tried a factory reset, but no change.
do you have any idea?
