GPS generally works, but an accurate position takes several minutes.
Left FP3 - Right FP4 (close together on my desk):
The FP4 is ready within 2-3 sec. Both FP3 never get ready. The second FP3 don’t show up Beidou - maybe it differs in hardware.
Edit: 5 min. later the FP3 is ready now.

Of course hardware is different and sometimes not even comparable. Probably the FP3 is indeed not very fast. My sports watch has also only seconds to tell a position.
But it seems to be a fact that the location on the FP3 is not generally not working, indeed it comes after a while, so the user can wait on this.
The headline of this thread should be “FP3: Location really slow”.
The problem also exists in LOS and seems to be derived from upstream:
