FP6: Failed to open camera

I would love to repair it! I have an electronics workbench right here behind me. But I assume the replacement camera, if that is the defective part, would come via a warranty replacement from Murena. Does that “clarify my OP”?

Am I missing something obivious here? As best as I can tell there is no store I can just go buy fairphone parts, yes? The fairphone website says to contact support, which in the USA I believe is through Murena. I would be happy to be wrong here!

that is not the path you are interested in.

I’m not sure what motivated this statement

I am sorry. Only clarification that the phone was working then stopped. The remainder is about checking for a loose connection (has been reported on Fairphone) but this is not something I would attempt on an expensive phone.

As I said at the top

Apologies again.

I did a factory reset and the camera is still broken. So I guess I have broken hardware.

It’s not hardware its happening to multiple devices, i already spotted two report bugs on different phones, and it happened on my redmi 9 too, so count it as four, i switched to unofficial build a 15 and camera works, so its software issue.

It seems unlikely to me that there are software problems that a factory reset does not fix. Its more likely there are multiple issues, some software, and some hardware.
