If you mean copying existing emails before closing your google account, I would connect both accounts to a desktop email client e.g. Thunderbird, and copy the emails across.

If you mean read gmail without installing gmail app there are two ways:

  1. Set your gmail to forward to you@e.email (I do this)
  2. Add gmail as an account in the /e/ Mail app
