[LIST] Devices to get a /e/OS U or Android 14 build

No, I stayed on community with that operation, the task was to do the non-OTA upgrade from 13 to 14:

sorry if the rest of my post maybe disguised it

By the end of Nov. 24 I’ve waited for a stable /e/OS U A14 (non-OTA) to be released for FP5 Fairphone 5. It was said that ETA is beginning of Dec. Ok, it was released by end of Dec. but it was only the community edition. Now it’s almost end of Jan. and still not released. What is the ETA for stable /e/OS U for FP5 please?

Received 2.7 today but still on Android 13, Fsirphone 3+ purchased from e.foundation.

And again …

There is no OTA upgrade from Android 13 (T) to 14 (U) for FP3 yet, so staying on Android 13 (T) with an update is the expected behaviour.

I’ve just found out that a OTA update is a official/stable release and therefore non-OTA and OTA release dates ETA should be similar, if not the same. Even though that sounds obvious, it wasn’t clear to me.

@Geekborg
Is a set of more devices planned?

Here is one example

at this link: Smartphone Selector
it says this: ā€œWarning! Unless marked as Official , many /e/OS builds here are not intended for daily use. All builds labelled as Community have not been fully tested yet and may contain major bugs. All builds are provided as best effort, without any guaranteeā€.

Yes, that’s just corporate arse-covering by /e/. Many people have been using ā€˜Community’ builds (previously known as ā€˜dev’ builds) and ā€˜Unofficia’l builds daily in their main devices. Their quality is usually at least as good as - and in the case of some Unofficial bids, better than - `Official’ builds (previously known as ā€˜stable’ builds)
