I have next to no experience with coding/developing, where is a good place to start with a view to becoming useful on a project like this? I’ve looked into it myself but there is so much info out there I just get lost. Thanks
Neither do I !
You can :
- make a donation,
- help people on the forum,
- create useful HOWTOs,
- build unofficial builds,
- translate contents in your language,
- be part of the testing team
- talk about /e/
Thank you
Thanks for the reply, I do some of those things already but I would ultimately like to learn how to code. I’m looking for recommendations of good places to start, as there are too many options available!
You could start with https://openclassrooms.com (available in French and English) or https://www.udemy.com/.
You just have to know what you want
I don’t know what I want! I suppose my real question is what is the most useful language in this context?
I haven’t seen openclassrooms before, really useful, thanks.
Little tip very useful :
On openclassrooms, the interesting part for you since you want to learn how to code will be this section : https://openclassrooms.com/en/paths/topics/18-development
If you click on one of the “path” that are listed, for instance the Android development, you won’t find anything useful BUT if you look at the same page but login to an account, you will be able to see and do a dozens of courses needed to acquire the skills.
Haha! Excellent. Udemy had a sale on last night, so I’ve got plenty to be getting on with for now. Thanks for the advice.
