I had to update the firmware:
before installing successfully the /e/ image zip:
Oneplus One ‘bacon’ no longer features in Smartphone Selector.
The device is categorised as “legacy”. Documentation can still be found here Info about OnePlus One - bacon.

Actually, bacon and other legacy devices do show up in the Smartphone Selector. You can search for it by typing bacon in the box or click the ‘Searching for …’ and it will display a list of options to filter. One of them is show Legacy devices.
