Hi.

Im using /e/ for a while now but came to an issue where i turned on ‘hide my number’ , but now i want to turn it of but cant find this option anymore.
Is it removed or so?
Its also a long time ago since i received updates for my S9 +

Do you happen to be on /e/OS P (Pie, i.e. Android 9)? There are no longer /e/ updates for versions earlier than Android 10:

Yep.
Thats a pity.
But i am thinking for a while now to get a new phone.
Any suggestions?
I need /e/ on it. Either by myself or preinstalled.
Camera doesnt need to be the best of the best.
The phone itself doesn’t need to be the best of the best

I got mine from https://murena.com/

You can search in Phone app options, “Calling accounts” then “GSM call settings” for your SIM account.
Also, you may ask your provider if there is a special code to enable/disable per call (i.e. *31* or #31# for Orange/France).

However star2lte is fully supported in Android 10 in dev and stable (only pie versions are left behind if for some reason you did not get the upgrade).

It is a bit difficult to advise a new phone now that there are 269 to choose from Get Support - e Foundation - deGoogled unGoogled smartphone operating systems and online services - your data is your data.

Be aware though that this list still includes the devices currently in a lower state of development where as mentioned in the link above will not be up-gradable without some other user or community input. In general I am hopeful that with expert help on board Samsungs will continue to be supported for some time, but they are reported to be unsuitable in USA.

Where can i find this builds?
I cant click them or find them.
Its been a while since i got here.

The information came from Install /e/OS on a Samsung Galaxy S9+ - “star2lte”

I see.
I tried to boot into recovery but it seems that something got changed. It boots into download mode. The last time i did the button combo TWRP would boot up.
Tried to find a way to get into recovery but the only option i have is to restart.

You tried, from OFF,

Vol Up + Home / Bixby + Power for Recovery

Vol Down + Home / Bixby + Power for Download mode

Thanks.
I did it by adb in the meanwhile.
Made a screen of your reply.
The update was succesful.
Will updates come through automatically again now?
What i still encounter is ghost taps.

I would certainly expect them to. We don’t know how or why the critical OTA Upgrade got missed, but after that, there were no updates for pie, so your updater went quiet.
