Deactivate device registration and Cloud notifications in Micro G setting if you want to stop calls home but keep Google apps. I tested this and Google’s crap no longer showed up as blocked because the call home attempts ended.
However, I hate google and did not want their crap on my phone even if I need to do banking and transactions another way. I was able to remove it without any issues afterwards. Do this at your own risk obviously. Just sharing what worked for me. Here are instructions to get rid of it completely. Note that I recently updated /e/OS recently and MicroG never came back. Maybe it will next time. It’s easy to remove so don’t care.
Go to App Lounge and Install FDroid.
Go to Fdroid and install Shizuku
Using FDroid, install Canta
Open Shizuku and select pairing option
Leave Shizuku and Enable developer options in settings.
Enable wireless debugging (probably need to check if WiFi is on). Be sure to also click on the wireless debugging line to open a new page. Just clicking the on switch to the right will not do the trick.
Once in the page, select option to generate link code.
Drop down the Shizuku pairing notification from the top of screen and enter code.
Open Canta
Remove all the stuff in the picture shown the trash can tab in Canta (3 MicroG apks and SIM manager to prevent annoying pop ups)
I try in xiaomi pad 6 and it’s fonctionnal thank you , so for other device , SIM manager destroy possibilty for calling and receving sms if i uninstall ? (for my principal device)
You can keep the SIM app if there are no annoying pop ups bothering you. I have had it uninstalled and have been texting a lot and no messaging, phone service, or Internet access has changed.
So for me, deleting the SIM manager apk shown on Canta’s trash tab has not personally caused me any issues. If you’re uncomfortable, you can try to keep it for a while and see if the bothersome notification bugs you. Then if it annoys you, maybe then consider deleting SIM manager apk in the picture.
Also, there is some way to back up a package if you want to. Can’t recall how but it might be an adb function. You bypassed the need to connect to a computer to run adb commands through the shell terminal by using Shizuku/Canta rather than adb through USB. Anyways, I don’t see why it would be problematic to remove it, but those are two options to prevent issues if you’re worried about it. Good luck!
So I just learned. In Apps, I brought up all the system apps and reset all apps to their original preferences but I still cannot buy anything online; the authentication doesn’t work.
Do I need to reset my phone to the factory settings to fix this?
I messed up with microG, disabled device identification and modified some settings in microG, the companion of microG and Services microG.
After that my banking app no longer allows me to buy anything online.

You should start a new topic for this one. It was discussed earlier in the thread that it would disable apps that require google certification or whatever.

I’m saving the stuff I need before resetting the phone and, taking a look inside “Android/data/myBankingApp/files/” I found out it contains stuff that has nothing to do here.
The folders are empty and were created the day I installed the banking app.
Still exploring, I found a very interesting list in data/foundation.e.apps/cache/warning_list called “app-lounge-warning-list.json”. It contains a full list of “not_working_apps”, “zero_privacy_apps” and “third_party_store_apps”. Very useful list but why is it hiding there?
That is unfortunate. Did you try re-installing the bank app and following again their login process ?
Maybe your registered ID has changed and do not match the one of the initial login so it might be needed to reinstall the app as if it were a new telephone.
Well, reinstalling the app and going through the secure login hassle will take a week.
Won’t make a difference if I reset the phone and it will be cleaner.
When I uninstalled MicroG, I kept getting annoying notifications. Uninstalling the aim manager app shown in the Can’t a trash file fixed the issue. It worked for me. Everyone is responsible for their own decisions though.
