Week 7, 2025: Development and Testing Updates

@postal8555 @Lyerbird Does microg also work on thoose Android versions?

Yeah, I use Arch btw…

The typical user will never ever be able to safely work with adb, he will most likely even fail getting adb and the image file, yet alone accepting the risk of bricking the device and/or loosing all the never ever backed up data on the phone.

And if you are comfortable of doing the above, and you value to be cutting edge so much, then better go up stream to Lineage OS, as Murenas main mission is to offer an somewhat degoogle Android version as easy as possible. None above is easy. This is the reason you can buy murena phones.

Ok, so it’s about the Murena devices for you.
/e/OS supports 200+ devices. Only 7 of them are currently Murena devices. How about only supporting A15 upgrades for those 7 devices? It sounds like a lot of work can be saved once by not testing those 200+ non-Murena devices.

I don’t know about MicroG support for A15 or A16.

Most if not all of those other devices are compatible because of Lineage OS being compatible, and additionall community effort was put into those; only the sold devices get the offical /e/OS version. Everything else is “community”.

Again it sounds like that you personally are the perfect target audience for jumping to LineageOS.
