Which WebView does /e/OS use?

Please tell me which webview does /e/OS use? I see the name Android ?

In other words /e/OS uses Bromite WebView which is now called Android System Webview.

It’s Cromite WebView now, seemingly since /e/OS 1.17.

It seems to me that if the license allows it, you can specify the real webview, since the user gets confused and does not understand which webview is actually installed.

You can only replace the default webview if you are rooted (as you discussed yourself already in the other topic).
Non-rooted users can only have the default webview, rooted users should know exactly what they are doing. There should be no confusion.

When I downloaded and installed Cromite System WebView apk for android https://github.com/uazo/cromite/releases/latest/download/arm64_SystemWebView64.apk
(arm64_SystemWebView64.apk) and decided to install it, I got a question: do you want to update Android webview??

Are you rooted? Did you confirm to do this update? Was it successful?
