Until now I was impressed of the Murena package “FP4 and /e/os” and recommended it everyone.
Presently my blood pressure rises and I understand Mr_Teatime’s anger.
Information is spread and hard to understand for people who don’t hack phones daily.
I am a simple user. I just want an operational OS - not more. Reports of accidential wiped phones make me nervous as it took days to configure my phone to the present perfect state. Wiping my phone is nothing I’ll accept.
When I read instructions here they often result in more questions. Example:
A colon is missing - I assume that the following text is meant. So the next lines should be the “OS OTA upgrade” (BTW, what is OTA? I know it as “Over The Air”):
For me this looks like a new installation from scratch. Beside, I don’t know where/how to get the vendor’s ROMs as I bought from Murena not Fairphone.
Now I get fully confused:
The very first two sentences implied that the “tediously process” (the bullet text) is the “OS OTA update”. It’s not? So what is the procedure “option to upgrade the OS OTA”?
I still don’t know what to do. What I need is a procedure to get regular updates again - and this understandable for me stupid non-hacker user.
Cheers.
