Hi, I’ve been moving away from Microsoft and Google since about 2003, always at an interested user level but slowly picked up some admin or command line skills along the way. For a long time I ran Linux Mint and Windows [XP onwards] on a dual- boot basis on my PC, still got my PC but just on Linux now. Then phones and tablets came along, and I was seduced by how easy and free everything about Google was. Now that I’ve woken up to what’s really going on [surveillance capitalism], I’m applying the same dual boot principle to phones; keeping my Motorola G7 on a Google account [without gmail] for the moment, and about to flash my old Galaxy S3 with /E/. Never flashed a phone before, wish me luck!
