A bit concerned about Safe Browsing setting

A bit concerned about Security setting on Safe Browsing:

Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the deGoogled mobile OS and online services

the greyed out text doesn’t really help - but you shouldn’t be.

It’s off for a good reason and was defective in prior builds. Actually it was my PR that fully disabled it in /e/s Cromite fork - fix direct and any reverse dependencies of default preferences (!106) · Merge requests · e / os / Browser · GitLab - Cromite itself has it disabled as well

@tcecyk tcecyk many thanks. I’ve just uninstalled Iron SR Browser which had the secure bit checked.

it will incur more threads unless the option itself is fully hidden - I do acknowledge that at..

Not self explanatory why this is better to the end user who wants to do safe browsing though

Brave proxies to Google for that feature and does some gymnastics, so I’d install that if keen on checking every url against a live service.

Just uBlock on Firefox will go a long way too
