I tried /e/ on my redmi note 3 (kenzo). the setup was smooth and no issues. I was desperately looking around for a solution to ditch google. then i stumbled upon /e/. The community group is very supportive and i soon hope to contribute to its development too.
About the os experience: the launcher though quick and simple is not that friendly yet. Weather app does not show location properly. same with Maps too. But I can live with it. Hope to see bigger changes in /e/ 's road map.
Well! I’ve been running /e/ for 2 months already and I am very satisfied with the result so far. Not complaint at all.
The Launcher does need some work but this is still beta software, things will improve. I do miss badge numbers though. The Evie launcher works very well as an alternative. It is available through the Yalp store.
First week with /e/OS on my kenzo, and it’s perfect!
I even got an update via the built-in updater. Pretty relieving …
