A52q auto brightness issue with light theme in dark ambient condition

I am experiencing issue with a52q auto brightness when using the light them in a darker environment, in this case the brightness start to change rapidly up and down without reaching a stable value.

This does not happen with the dark theme or when the top of the screen has a dark colour. In my opinion, this means the light from the top of the screen is interfering with the brightness sensor. However, I did not have this issue with the latest stock ROM.
