About the criteria for developing new models

Hello, this is not my lang, it may be weird,

As the title reads, what is the criteria that the developing follows
when choosing the new models to include in the array of options,
is it hardware specs, brand/model popularity, price?

One of the biggest reasons is that the devices are supported by Lineage OS, since /e/OS is based on Lineage OS. So Lineage OS decides it.

So, Lineage has to be ported first, and then EOS on top of that.
