Hello,
I would like to use ADAC Drive app to find cheapest petrol along the road.
So I installed it and then open it.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
(1) Installed ADAC Drive app, then open it.
(2) ADAC app starting up showing an orange coloured background.
(3) After approx. 1s navigation bar at bottom of screen is flashing. Also blue GPS indicator acitivity LED is flashed.
OBSERVED BEHAVIOUR
(3) Nothing happens, after 15-20seconds or even longer app is terminated. Sometimes an /e/ info screen is shown that the app could not be opened.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR
(3) ADAC Drive App should open and show main HMI menu to set up.
Which steps could I try to narrow down issue for missing permissions? App does not ask for missing permissions itself…
(please note: there are several ADAC apps, I am referring to the one showing a petrol pump icon).
Hello!
I use the app since years without problems. At present it is the Version from December 20 2024.
I granted Messages, but I did not grant the location permission.
When I just opened it, it asked for cookies and I consent, hoping that /e/OS will block all trackers.
After that it showed the map with gas stations.
Do you have enough memory left? Did you try to clear cache and data? Has the app internet access?
good luck!
Hello!
I also have been using this app for years before without issues, that is why I would like to continue using it in the first place. Then I’ve updated OS to /e/OS and since then the app has been failing.
- Memory low? I guess app would tell me if that were the case.
- Cache and data: I have cleared both, no effect.
- Internet access: WLAN active here, should work a treat.
When starting the app, it does not ask for cookie consent nor does it ask for GPS access - it asks for nothing at all actually.
After some time I get “App has been closed repeatedly” as an error message, the only I get.
Checking app permissions the only permissions I can grant is GPS either all the time or when requested which I set to whenever it would need GPS. There are no permissions regarding messages etc. to be set.
