Adding a SMTP/IMAP account to the /e/-phone + resetting an /e/-Account

Hi,
today I got my refurbished smartphone, /e/ is very nice.

I have 2 questions:

  1. I’m trying to add an external account to access an existing mail account via SMTP/IMAP. But “Add account” only supports the account type /e/, Google or WebDAV.

  2. I got the welcome mail for my @e.email email email and have created my /e/ account. But I made a mistake.
    Is it possible to delete this account and create a new one?
    Changing the name and address of the account is obviously not supported, right?

Your aren’t talking about email app ?
In email app, use the 3 dots on upper right site when you are in accounts view (not in inbox view)
There you can finf ‘add account’ .after pushing it you can add every imap or pop3 account you want

In accounts view, long tap on account yoy want delete. In submenu you will find ‘remove account’

I think Phrukt’s right.

We must also

  • delete the Nextcloud account and create a new one.
  • maybe set up more services.

Just like the /e/ function “Create e-mail account” does (in https://welcome.ecloud.global).

Problems are solved!

I created a new welcome mail by using the link https://e.foundation/e-mail-invite/ (with complete new names)
This created in two steps an new /e/ account.
At the /e/ phone I removed thd old account and added the new one.

One action is still necessary: please remove my old /e/ account to free resources at Nextcloud.
