Advanced Privacy: Hide IP Address, access .onion site

Howdy experts,

after using e/os for a few years, just a few days ago i found the button for hiding the ip address in the advanced privacy widget. When clicking it, it says something about TOR.

Also, check.torproject.org says that tor is active. But visiting onion sites does not work. Anyone has an idea about that?

as far as I can determine, code to connect to onion sites isn’t integrated in Advanced Privacy, just the setup part for TOR networking - https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/os/advanced-privacy/-/tree/main/ipscrambling
