Amazfit (com.huami.watch.hmwatchmanager) account creation issue

Hi everyone,

I’m pleased Amazfit (com.huami.watch.hmwatchmanager) application is available in /e/ Apps.

Unfortunately, it fails (tried 5+ times) when trying to define my Birthday.

I’m not sure if it is a pure Amazfit application bug (I didn’t get any issue when I used it few years ago), or if it is some missing internal needs.

How can I fix that?

Amazfit works fine for me on /e/

Mine was a data restore from another device though. I just changed my birthday and it was fine, if that helps. There was an update a few days ago to 3.6.2

I’m using watch droid, because I don’t want to share my data with Chinese MI people.

@DavidSteven nice, in fact since Septembre 2019 (when I switched to /e/ os) I’m waiting Support answer from Huami to understand HOW I can migrate to my new smartphone; noting I don’t have the previous one anymore …
So far, I’ve been unable to restore my previous account (I guess it was a Cegid one).

Which procedure did you use to migrate?

@ bsquare Mine has been easy (Amazfit Pace). Just install the app and it resets the watch with a QR code and pairs fine. It is sometimes an issue if it can’t unpair from the old phone. You can use MiFit also now for the Pace anyway (it’s integrated)

I’ve got a Xiaomi Stratos 2, but I guess it may work.

What kind of account do you use (a simple e-mail one ?)?

If you don’t want loose your privacy use WatchDroid, because MI is spying as hell. Or stop access to internet (mobil data and wifi) for the MI app !!!
