Android Auto included as standard?

Dear all. I really want to jump on the train with murena and to avoid the google watching me. However google has been fantastic to make me locked to their services for instance Android Auto. My Honda Civic with Garmin navigation integrated is not possible to update anymore (car is from 2018) so i really enjoy Android Auto and organic Maps… but i understand only being a real Linux expert i would be able to make Android Auto work on murena phones? Where can users make a wish or product feature request to the developers from murena?

Including it as standard is against everything Murena claims to stand for. I think they understand this and will not be doing it. However, if they ever do I shall be moving to another OS.

What makes you think that? Installing a few Google Apps and setting a few settings doesn’t sound like a job for a Linux expert to me … How to setup Android Auto with /e/OS?

Having to install Google Apps to make it work is the catch here.
This goes against the core of what Murena are trying to do, and it will not be included by default as long as Murena don’t find a way around this requirement …

“it requires to install and use some applications coming from Google. We are exploring ways to bypass those requirements.”

Unfortunately only 1 update is allowed (not sure why)

So onetime only, which i already did

I know such updates might be costly, too, especially compared to Android Auto, if it works.

I’m just curious, because rejecting additional money from a customer seems kind of bad business … are you sure “onetime” in this case can’t just be read as “no update subscription” (as a distinction to the service before) and it would be possible to buy another “onetime” update?
(You don’t need to try. But perhaps you already did try and could clarify so we know.)
