Android Auto on Gigaset GS290 (Android 12 + /e/OS 3.0.1-s)

Hi /e/OS users!
I’m the owner of the Gigaset GS290 and a new vehicle which comes with Android Auto.

Followed the official guide available at : How to setup Android Auto with /e/OS?

The current implementation is so far compatible only with Android 13 version of /e/OS

My /e/OS version is 3.0.1-s-20250609498926-official-GS290 (the official build)
My Android version is unfortunately 12 :frowning_face:

As far as I understand, I can’t use my phone with Android Auto so far.
If I try to launch the Android Auto app, it doesn’t start.

  • Can I hope that there will be an official build later with Android 13 for my device?
  • If I try the manual build of /e/OS, should I be able to get a release with Android 13?
