I am looking for a new car and had a look into a Renault Megane. When selecting the navigation App of the car a map opens with a Google lettering on it. Even the excerpt of the map which is displayed on the display behind the steering wheel contains this lettering. It was very distracting for me and I asked myself which data will be sent to big tech and if I could decline any data transfer.
Has any one experience with Android Automotive and how to stop telling your current position and other private data to G**gle?
Further I investigated, that VW has no Android Automotive, but an own programmed OS. It seems better with options to decline some data transfer.
