Any Reason I Shouldn't Replace the Native Maps

I would like to replace the native Maps app on Fairphine 6 because it’s not open source. I appreciate the effort that went into creating the native ecosystem, but I’m not comfortable with it and it’s causing me to have trouble when I need to get somewhere with the map app.

Will it break anything if I remove it?

Probably not. You cannot remove it though, just deactivate it. I did it and I don’t see any problem happening.

There is no opensource equivalent with live trafic data, though if you are fine without there are several good open source map and navigation apps: Osmand~ (from App lounge not Osmand+ from Play store) Organic maps, CoMapps
