App anxiety
Hi all. New user here, with a locally sourced FP6.
First of all, congrats to /e/os team on creating a beautifull mobile os! Installation was a breeze and first OTA update went without any issues.
Also apps downloaded via App Lounge seem to work without any hickups. But I’m still bit reserved about downloading and running banking (Nordea, Osuuspankki) and secret management related apps (Proton Pass). What do you think about this subject, am I worried about nothing?
It depends on what you mean. If your fear is that spyware or something similar was injected into the apps via the App Lounge, I’d say that’s not a risk at all. If you’re afraid they don’t work, that’s a much more realistic possibility. Personally, though, I did not have any problems with my banking apps (I had to toggle off IP spoofing for one of them, though).
My worries are related to a man-in-the-middle kind of situation.
