App lounge doesn't find internet connection

I’m sorry, I’m new here and with using e/os; if this question goes somewhere else, feel free to move it! Thank you for your patience.

I received my Murena CMF phone this morning, ever since I’ve been trying to open the app lounge so that I can install the apps I need but whatever I do, on opening it I get the message “Connection impossible. Please check your internet connection and retry”.

My internet connection works perfectly, I’m using it to write this message on my computer (shared internet connection with the CMF). My phone browser works perfectly too. I don’t have a box, so no wifi.

I read somewhere that I could install Fdroid and Aurora to compensate but how do I do that?

Thank you for your help!

Way to go. https://f-droid.org/ then install Aurora store from F-Droid. Also look out for the App Lounge FAQ.

Thank you both for your kind and fast answer! Installing F Droid worked well and Aurora is installing some of my apps now!

Mystery solved. The App lounge needs to use the wifi to work. Since I don’t have wifi at home I had to tether my Murena CMF to my Samsung Galaxy phone and use its internet connection.
I’ve installed the apps I need and they work well, so far.
I guess I’ll have to do that each time I’ll want to install an app.

It appears that Applounge is now fully working, no need for a wifi connection. Go figure…
