App Lounge fails

Hi,

Sometimes when I try to update apps via the App Lounge app, I receive an error and I’m prompted to either “Refresh session” or “Ignore”.
I can sometime have my apps updated if I choose “Refresh session”, but sometimes it fails.

And it can happen that I don’t even have any error message at all, just the hourglass spinning over and over and then … nothing happens.

Has anyone experienced this too?
What to do?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help,

Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the deGoogled mobile OS and online services

You could use F-Droid to get the free Open Source Apps (App Lounge itself uses the F-Droid catalog for this), and you could use F-Droid to install Aurora Store to get Apps from the Play Store (App Lounge works the same way in this regard, Aurora Store was the blueprint).
If you do so, make sure to configure Aurora Store to only offer updates for Apps it installed itself. Otherwise it likes to see /e/OS’s microG as the genuine Google Play services and will offer updates for them (which will not work, but it’s confusing for users).

You’ll find plenty of examples on the forum of people experiencing similar problems with App Lounge.

The general advice is to clear its cache and storage (in Settings > Apps > App Lounge), and then, importantly, to wait a few hours before trying again (2-12 hours usually recommended). I would also reboot your phone.

You’ll then need to set up App Lounge again with your preferred settings.

Hi,

Thanks.
This is exactly what I’ve done (although I didn’t wait 2 hours) and it worked.

Thanks a lot!
