App Lounge hangs on many "common" apps

So I guess I see differently with your image of Google Wallet.

Is this what you meant by picking a thread with “Common apps” in the title?

I am wondering if your question is more along the lines of “Might I have any problems with Google Wallet in a degoogled phone?”

To which you might get a different response.

Sometimes apps with a very low score in Exodus might not play well, idk, I totally avoid them.

In your app-lounge studies I guess you noticed the hint to turn off Advanced Privacy when in difficulties testing App Lounge.

No, I have the problem with all the apps quoted as “common” on the App Lounge. Like I said :

Which represent most of the apps that I wanted to download

I just used Google Wallet as an example because it was one of the apps I could get the version number for the Aurora Store. I just wanted to share more information on the bug I had.

Yupp, I did that, but no results.

In the end, I still have my problem :

The App Lounge does not load Apps considered as “common” by the App Lounge. This includes apps like Whatsapp, Tiktok, Microsoft suit, World of Tanks Blitz, Roblox, telegram,… (I do not endorse these apps, nor want to download all of them, they are examples to say it encompasses a broad range of apps.

Aurora App does not work either on the said apps and tells me that the app is unavailable on my device

I can fortunately download some of the apps via uptodown, which is a great think I guess, but very finicky and does not reassure me at all. Moreover, some apps just don’t work (like DebitX, which I need for my online payments)

My build is :

Which I presume may be the leading cause of all these bugs.

My question or new quest is:

How can I help the developers fix these issues?
Should I go somewhere else? (Maybe the forum is not the right place to share this problem)
When will I be able to just have an App Lounge that works?
Should I just do a new thread?

Thank you all

Hi everyone,

App lounge was hanged on all screen for me, since /e/ 3.0.1 upgrade (seems) on a pixel 5 phone.
removing app data did not fix anything (it was the case last time app lounge hangup, but not this time)
what unlocked my usage was to install aurora, (installed with the help of f-droid) make an update of every app that needed update, then app lounge started to works properly again. there were an update of google stuff … that might be what was missing.
after this update app lounge is displaying correctly app, and update.

hope this help some of you.

Unfortunately, when I go to Aurora in the installed apps, they still display this message:

But thank you for the message

I personally installed aurora with the help of f-droid which was already present on my phone, but could easily install with the browser

The method was also requested in the OP. The Report an Issue page was linked in Post #2 and discussed in the following (~10) posts!

That sounds as if the device identifier doesn’t support (under native vendor OS) the application (anymore), so play store blocks the download.

You can probably avoid this message by faking the device identifier over microG settings (from “native” to another).

I tried the 3 different devices registration profile available but it did not work…
