App Lounge Login not possible

Hi,

i tried to find answers in the Forum and maybe didnt look long enough, but here is my problem

The anonymous login has not been working for six months now, the FAQ answers to this problem didn’t help

The google login option only gives me an alert in my browser that “the requested URL could not be found on this server” with an Error Code 404 and the underline “thats all we know”

anyone has an idea what this is and what I could try? I read in another post, that the app need permission to access the internet so i tried to see if I could change that, but couldnt find where… It says in App permissions, that it has permission to “access all networks”

I wanted to put a screenshot in, but got the message, that new users are not allowed to embed more than one media item, I dont know why one jpg is more but thats the reason :slight_smile:

I have f-droid installed already but a few apps that I use are not on there, which is why I would like to get App loung working again

Or maybe I am not using it correctly?

you should find them in AuroraStore,
because AppLounge is a addition of F-droid plus AuroraStore

Oh now I understood, that aurora and f-droid are not the same thing :slight_smile: i installed it and it works for all the apps i needed

Do you have an older version of App Lounge? Sometimes it has bad days but the current App Lounge version: 2.13.5
/e/ OS version: 2.9-a14-20250323478433-community-ocean seems ok here.

Please do use the instructions to show your device and version of /e/OS from the previous post.

You might have a bigger problem than just App Lounge without knowing. Not sure about your knowledge.

The problem is that app lounge is not working, the anonymous login has not worked in six months and the google login is simply showing an error page that I cannot interact with

I have very little knowledge, so thanksful for every help!

you can try to clear the “system updater” cache and storage,
or
Download e-2.9-s-20250321478216-official-starlte, and use it to adapt those instructions :

Hidden there is the date 2023 11 09, so no update for some 18 months, as well as the “no longer supported” Android 11 (R).

There are many improvements made to App Lounge in that time.

  • (It is not very important but you can also check your App Lounge version from
    App Lounge app > Settings.)

Hey thanks for all these instructions! I actually checked my system updater and it just hasnt checked for updates in over a year.

I manually searched now with the little button top right and it started downloading version 2.0 … so maybe thats the easiest way, to just let it catch up on updates?

Or should I bypass that and do what you suggested right away?

Yes, that totally right !
(even a bit time consuming) that’s a Official / safer way.
