App Lounge not showing outdated apps (sometimes) - solved!

App Lounge doesn’t work correctly since the OS upgrade to 3.0.4 (or maybe 3.0.1, not sure):

when I get the notification, that updates are available and I start App Lounge from that notification, it works correctly, all the apps which have updates available are shown. However, when I close App Lounge then without doing the updates, and start App Lounge later again, it does not show any available updates anymore (under ‘Updates’). Instead it shows ‘All apps are up-to-date’.

(Please note, that I use my smartphone in German, and I have translated the dialog texts into English manually.)

Having had a fail in App Lounge you should perhaps try to follow a routine like

Anonymous account not working - #11 by aibd

Please start by reading the FAQ linked at the top of the first post above.

it would be a bug you’d want to track. But I can’t reproduce this. Either with auto updates off / or on, forceful AppL stop.

It is updating even if you close the App - it gave the download jobs to the system downloader facilty of Android with no user interface to stop it. A traffic indicator in the top bar is a good idea to see it toiling away.

Imo you ended up with updated Apps if you once let it start. With auto updates off the updatable list always repopulated for me.

Choosing “Logoff” from the anonymous login and then re-login as anonymous seems to have solved the issue. Thanks!

Just some additional information: I mainly use Aurora Store to update my PlayStore apps. While it seems to be more reliable than App Lounge, I also have to sometimes re-login with the anonymous account in Aurora Store. So it seems to be a good starting point if you have problems with Aurora Store or App Lounge.
