I am using e/OS 3.7.3 and App Lounge 2.17.1 on a Fairphone 6. Not sure if thats important but I have not installed the SIM in the Fairphone because I am still using my old one. First I tried the Anonnymous account which did not work for apps from the Play Store (Search shows Apps temporarily not available). As far as I understood thats on Google for fucking with annonymous accounts. So I made a new google account which I still had to bind to my mobile number only to receive the exact same error.
From what I found in this forum this error was supposed to hace been fixed with e/OS 3.6 and App Lounge version 2.16.1.
Is there anything I can do or do I have to wait for the next Update before i can start using e/OS?
I would guess that lack of SIM card, then add Google A/C registered to the not present SIM card would be a problem not overcome by update.
As for Anonymous account with no SIM, untested but may well be problematic but advice to Clear storage and restart like this may resume service [Solved] Teracube 2e apps misbehave - #2 by aibd
I suggest switch off all Advanced Privacy (and restart) before further testing.
Thanks for the fast reply. The problem seems to have been that my firewall blocked parts of the App Lounge. After putting in the SIM card I was able to login anonymously and download the apps that did would not load while connected to my wifi.
