App lounge on FP4

The longer I use the App Lounge on my FP4 the longer I get angry: it is absolutely unreliable: I manually have to look up most of the apps if there is an update, and very often it does not completely download the update files etc. etc.

I very shortly will change my OS to another degoogled OS if this is not changing immediately! But when looking at the way, e-foundation is handling the outage (going on for nearly four months now!), I do not have much hope for a change.

So good bye e/OS/.

No one is forced to use the App Lounge. You can use F-Droid or Aurora as well.

Dude, you have many alternatives with AOSP, you can use the one that best suits your needs. But be happy that people are proposing free alternatives.

As @msp said, you can use Aurora Store or F-Droid too.

That is not normal behavior of the App Lounge, do you have the latest version of /e/OS installed on your device?

Yes, I have. And of course I have been using F-Droid, for ages. Concerning Aurora, it’s unreliable, too.

The reason for this behavior is the way how Aurora and the App Lounge works:

I dont experience this problem on my FP4.
There are rare outages but normally applounge works well.
Maybe this is not a general problem.

Have you tried clearing App Lounge’s data/cache yet?

Clear App Lounge’s data by navigating to Settings > Apps > App Lounge > Storage & cache > Clear storage.

Yes, several times. No change. The App Lounge is very slow and it still does not notify me when i.e an e-banking app is to be updated.

I probably definitely have to look for another app store, with - unfortunately, but I need it - the possibility to login with a gougle account.

Or another OS.

There are daily outages here in Switzerland.

I use a gougle account, because I need to use some chargeable apps, unfortunately.

Of course. as they are automatically announced.

I am rather astounded of the questions asked in this forum…

I am not your “Dude”.
