“Update All” should not require you to click the individual “Update” buttons, but should update everything.

You’re lucky, since I updated to 4.0 I can’t update any of my apps instaleld through App Lounge, it’s stuck to 0%.
Same for any new download.

Are you sure the “use wifi …” whatever it’s called is not set on in the app options?
I had this problem too until someone asked me the same question. 
But what does the connection mode have to do with a button not working properly? In any case, regardless of the connection mode, this button MUST work (or it should be removed).
Slightly speculative, but two (of more) possible ways.
App Lounge spoofs access to remote servers of Play store.
If the remote server recognises your device as “an outsider” or making repeated matching requests due to Automatic updates … or
If the remote server can recognise App Lounge signature as non genuine
Then your network change may provide a new fingerprint providing a fresh start.
I was just here to point out that there’s a bug. I’m not going to start doing my updates while doing yoga in a headstand.
Works for me with Google dummy account. In anonymous mode I’ve seen some delays to the extent that I thought it was irresponsive.
The current state for me is that in general, I can work with app lounge when I reset it after every update. If I don’t I will eventually see notifications that there are updates, but they won’t show up in the app lounge.
Just checked this on my phone (moto e7 plus ‘guam’ /e/os 4.0). ‘Update all’ has worked for me with an anonymous account for > 1 yr on all earlier versions and it also did just now. I did experience a problem but only twice in all that time - I just waited and next day it worked again.
That’s what I do, too - Update all, wait for all to be updated, then close the App Lounge by swiping up, open it again, often some more updates appear.
Same for me with a Fairphone 3, installing new apps does not work, too
I tried to delete the cache, de-select the wifi option, restart, re-open.
I have no idea so far how to solve this.

I got around to have this unstuck… no idea how I did it though. Try installing Aurora Store and update what you can through there…

I do not know why but in this night all pending updates have been executed and today I sucessfully installed a new app. This doesn’t fit to your speculation, if I got it right.
