App Lounge Will Not Load

I have a Teracube 2e. It has worked well for a while, but some time recently (I don’t know when it started, but I noticed it 10 days ago when I tried to update Signal) it has stopped loading. Or, seemingly, working at all.

When I try to open it it gets stuck on the loading screen–just the colorful A sitting there forever. I’m not sure if this matters, but I made sure I was connected to a functioning “landline” at the time with good connection speed. (It’s actually starlink, but via ethernet-to-usb-c).

I know in other threads people have suggested fixing App Lounge problems by clearing the cache, but it seems like I would need to open the program to do that.

A different thread suggested going to Advanced Privacy > App Lounge and untoggling Trackers Control. That also seems not to have worked.

Another thread (I think this one was a few years old but I tried it anyways) suggested disabling the VPN and the kill switch. Also no dice.

Other threads have mentioned installing aurora and using that to get or update the apps I want–and that did work for Signal. But it has left me wondering if all of my other apps are also not being updated by App Lounge, and whether that means I need to manually update them with aurora.

But just overall I’m wondering what’s up with App Lounge and if there’s a way I can fix it.

Thanks!

I guess you put the app-lounge hashtag on your post. You will find following the tag many recent posts (just the last 20 days, say) will include a link to the App Lounge FAQ and various extra tips or variations on the theme of “Log out of App Lounge and Log in again”.

Simple instructions are there for App Lounge > Clear Storage which you should certainly do and be prepared to restart the phone.

Be prepared to Try later after any fail – " Try again" straight off can make things worse.

And it is Clear Storage, not just Clear cache !!

Thanks aibd, I saw people saying to clear the cache but assumed it had to be done from within the app. I didn’t know that was not the case! I’ll give that a try.
