Recently, there was news that confirmed that Apple was not going to be compelled by the UK government to give them access to icloud data. However, it was not made clear that uk users would still be barred from using ADP, if they had not already set it up on their apple accounts.
To me, this amounts to a backdoor that only applies to uk users.
However, I understand that uk users who had already set up ADP on their accounts have been allowed to keep it.
I wondered if anyone here who still uses Apple devices, are aware if ADP is still turned on, on their accounts? Or if they have had any messages from Apple, pertaining to it.
When this first happened, I had 4 icloud accounts for 4 different devices that I emptied and closed down. I set up one brand new account in case I needed it in the future. I think I managed to set up ADP on it but, I can’t remember as I have not used it since but, I might need to soon.
