Apps are suddenly not responding

PF4 /e/OS - Apps Frequently Freezing/Not Responding

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing a frustrating issue with apps frequently freezing or becoming unresponsive on my PF4 running /e/OS. After a short period of use, or even just after launching an app, I get a notification saying it’s not responding and I have to force close it.

This started happening about a year ago, but it’s become much more frequent. Now, I can be using my phone for just 30 minutes and receive around 10 “App Not Responding” messages.

I’m running the latest version of /e/OS (v3.1.4-a14), I’ve checked my storage (around 50% free), cleared the cache for my most used apps, and rebooted the phone, but none of that has helped.

Does anyone have any suggestions for things I can try? I’d really like to avoid a factory reset if possible.

Hey, I don’t have any suggestions to offer but I just want to share that I’m facing the same issue… Apps started freezing a while ago on my FP4 and that’s really annoying, not sure what the root cause is :frowning:
