I recently stopped being able to install apps with App Lounge.
Specifically, it’s the Signal messenger, which says it needs an update and no longer works without a new update.
When I click on “install”, it seems to “hang”.

I had similar issues with updating apps not sure what made it work again. Either earasing storage and cache of app lounge or just wating and trying again.
Good thing with Signal you can downlaod it directly from their website. https://signal.org/android/apk/
It even includes an updater which will notify you when there is a update and make the update without any store.
Unfortunately, the download link on the Signal website leads to the App Lounge and thus to a dead end.
Clear the cache+storage of the App Lounge first and then try to update Signal.
