alas, it’s still just “Step 2/2” 
it’s been more than 20 minutes. i’ll try the arrow back and reboot & see what happens …
ah! when i hit the arrow to go back, now it shows “Install completed with status 0” 
so i’ll reboot …
IT’S WORKING!!! & the apps that were crashing are opening & working!! so far it all looks good, & my data is all still there.
