Asus Max Pro M1 OTA impossible

Hello,
This ils my first post here. I am not so techie and was able to install /e/ simply by following the detailed instructions.

But today I was warned about the OTA system upgrade. I downloaded it but the phone was not able to install it at reboot.
I had to follow the installation procedure with the new ROM using recovery and fastboot to make it a success.

My question is to know if maybe I made something wrong or if the behavior is normal for Asus, please.

I can confirm the same as by this user above. OTA update fails for my device too.

@svanneste can you confirm what you did for installing the new ZIP? Please break into steps. Also, is your earlier data (SMS, call records, etc.) all wiped during new install?
