Audio over USB?

Hi,

I am using Samsung S9 Plus units. I have bought 2 different make usb C to HDMI cables. I have plugged both cables into different HDMI sockets on the TV, but on both I get picture but no sound (using VLC, but sound plays on Phone), I tried my other S9 Plus and the same.

The only relevant setting I could find was - Disable USB audio routing, and that was turned off.

Any ideas as to what I can try?
