Hey,
i was thinking about moving my journal to nextcloud deck. I dididnt find the feature for automate worksteps so every day there is created a new card with date and a defined text.
@murena team: are you going to implement such features in deck?
Nextcloud has a Flow concept, but Deck seems to lack integration. But I’m unsure you could automate even the content template.
How are you currently journaling?
Obsidian has a “Daily” action that will create a folder/date-file according to a conent template - if you sync this to /Notes on murena.io you get the behaviour.
There is an entry for Nextcloud Notes (serverside) to have a daily/journal/diary feature. If the server has it, client will implement it too.
Joplin has plugins for journaling. It’s okay? But 120MB is a heavy package.
Mobile Obsidian is pretty well done from a UX perspective. While it’s not foss, the no-sync operation has no strings-attached, the currency is “files”. Just do sync with other software and if you like the product, there are donations. In Nextcloud case, use the nextcloud-client and sync serverside to /Notes - then the markdown will turn up in the nextcloud Notes web client.
