I own maybe two or three devices listed here but I haven’t tried to install this Global system image thing on any of them yet.
My background is made of successful flash of motorola G4 play an G5 with fastboot, Samsung G7, G7 Edge, G8 with odin4, Xiaomi Redmi Note 9s, fastboot also …
Could you point me to useful ressources to begin with ?
I have a tab on my browser with this but havent compile much software yet and don’t really know where to start.
you’ll see GSI install instructions on a per device page. There’s no single standard, some do not have any install info, some very verbose.
It’s mostly the same steps. My own learning was about getting a handle on fastbootd on newer devices vs lower level, regular fastboot. I do maintain the Moto G60s page, it assumes starting from 0 and going back to stock.
bad luck? it was a Nougat device but still it is listed here. It’s of the earliest treble generation type, A-partition only / arm64. Look at “aonly” images and shun “AB” images. You have to try how many majors you can climb up, seems A10 is possible. More modern treble-capable devices imo have an easier time.
General /e/ docs on on device compatibility are here. As the wiki post it will point to run the “Treble Info” App first.
I’m in bad luck because the devices I own don’t have an unlocked bootloader and huawei stopped the service.
And one of them has a FRP lock that I can’t get rid of : Build is ATU-L21 8.0.0.155(C150)
