Bluetooth problems on FP6

Hello list,

There has been a topic about BT problems on an FP6, you can find the thread here. I run /e/os/ 3.5 but the problem is still the same as described in that thread. The thread ends by saying that these problems should have been solved in version 3.3. Unfortunately the PF6 is unusable in my Toyota Prius, After a reboot it sometimes works one time. When making a call the music stops but no sound through BT. Playing music is no problem BTW.

Anyone else has the same problem? For me this problem is a show stopper for FP6. FP5 with LineageOS never had these problems.

Yes indeed, this is a known issue, for which a ticket is open in Gitlab:

Feel free to join the issue and comment with logs and additional info to help developers to fix the issue. I also hope that this issue will be resolved soon.

Ok, need to say that with my Jabra BT headset everything works fine.

Good evening,
even with the latest update, it doesn’t work.

I managed to get it to work this way by first pairing the phone with a device like this one in the link.
Then I paired the device with the car system.
This solution is inconvenient, makes no sense, and in any case, it’s difficult to hear, crackles, and callers hear an echo.

Major problems Here too. Trying to use is in me Fiat even makes the car system reboot/crash

I wanted to know if LineageOS suffers from the same issue, but apparently there is no LineageOS version for the FP6. I was quite astonished! Does anyone know if the google android version has the same issues on a FP6?

No idea, but I don’t think other ROMs are experiencing similar issues.

If you scroll through the latest messages in the issue’s ticket on e-GitLab (see 4 messages above), you’ll see that the developers are desperately trying to figure out where the problem is coming from.
One of the tests today was to activate the ‘Disable absolute volume’ feature in the developer options, but this didn’t make a difference for most testers (myself included).

I wonder if Fairphone could help us, for example by providing a firmware update (?) But since I’m not technical at all, I can’t say much more than that…

Please feel free to provide as many details as possible in the issue on e-Gitlab to help the developers understand the situation better.

Otherwise, for now, we’ll just have to wait and keep our fingers crossed.

In my Toyota Prius 3 (2013) everything works fine, but only once after a reboot. Do other people experience the same behaviour?
