Bricked the phone on the attempt to upgrade to Android 14/U

What can I say? After all these years, the command-line upgrade process finally got me.

“Your device is corrupt. It can’t be trusted and will not boot.
Your device will be powered off in 5 seconds.”

Power + Up just restarts the above.
Power + Down the same.

Bye bye Sony Xperia XA2.It was fun while it lasted (before manual upgrades finally killed you)

Managed – with MUCH stuffing around – to get the phone back into fastboot and then flash recovery again and eventually into recovery mode and finished the upgrade. Egad.
