Brightness control stops working randomly, until next reboot

Hi,

On Murena 2 and /e/OS 1.20, the brightness control from the pulldown menu mostly works. But from time to time, it stops working: I can move the slider but it no longer changes the brightness.

(De)activating the “less bright” or the “auto brightness” option does not change anything. But rebooting the phone fixes this issue… until it breaks again some day.

In that topic a suggestion was to disable adaptative brightness. It is not activated in my case:

Ok I found the solution, it only works if you have adaptive brightness turned off. I’m going to put in a feature request to change this because the reason I’m looking into this in the first place is that I want to use adaptive brightness but it is usually too dark, so until it learns my preferences I want a quick way to change brightness. Having to swipe down TWICE and then having to swipe up TWICE just to change brightness seems very cumbersome.
