Building non google android apps

Hi All, I want to build a very simple app to view a webpage on my local raspberry pi. This is to see temperatures in my pi controlled heating system. As its only going to work on my local WiFi I’m not concerned about security of the app.
However I am concerned about using android studio as I suspect that any app built that way will start by reporting to google. Is there an alternate way to build simple apps with a non-google studio? Any tips on where I should start investigating this topic? Thanks. James

Why not use the browser its a webpage…

Using a browser might work, but ideally I’d like to include username and password. Perhaps I’ll experiment with a shortcut to the browser page 1st

I figure you can build a basic WebView app or use a really really minimal browser like WebMonkey (available from F-Droid albeit using IzzyOnDroid repo).

Beware the Webview App from the /e/ Apps store. Trackers and low on the privacy scale.
